SUNDROP PRODUCT GUIDE · 2026 EDITION

Not every solar brand deserves your trust.

Our internal approach to solar panels, inverters and home batteries is deliberately opinionated. We prioritise support in Australia, reliability history, compatibility and long-term value over a flashy quote.

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

Value does not have to mean cheap. Premium is not automatically better.

These are SunDrop’s own editorial choices as of the 2026 guide, not an independent certification or permanent market ranking. We verify current models and warranties when quoting.

01 / PANELS

Panels

The panels are only one part of the purchase. We consider an established Australian presence and the practicality of future warranty claims.

02 / INVERTERS

Inverters

The inverter coordinates conversion, monitoring and—where compatible—battery control. Failure handling and after-sales support matter.

Batteries

We look at usable capacity, lithium iron phosphate chemistry where suitable, warranty support, compatible control and the complete backup design.

PRACTICAL PRODUCT CHOICES

What the guide means on an actual roof.

For a standard solar-only home, we often compare the same Jinko or Trina panel array with GoodWe, Sungrow or Fronius inverters so you can see what the extra spend actually changes.

For storage, GoodWe is frequently our value recommendation; Sigenergy or Sungrow may be worth comparing for system architecture, monitoring, or ecosystem preferences. A compatible battery and inverter from the same manufacturer can also make ongoing support simpler.

Where batteries are a future possibility, the guide recommends considering a hybrid inverter. For problematic shade, optional Tigo optimisers may be appropriate after checking the electrical design.

Important qualification

The attached guide reflects SunDrop Electricals’ installation experience and product preferences. Its “avoid” list is an internal recommendation shortlist, not a verified public recall registry. The guide recommends checking manufacturer Australian presence and official recall notices before buying. Individual models, availability and warranties must be confirmed separately.

We will explain the brand difference.

Instead of asking you to trust a badge, we can compare the actual inverter, battery, panel warranty and support route in your proposal.
